This one’s not an easy one, aye. First sniff is all wet leaves and something green and stalky – stems, peelings, like when you’ve just stripped a load of cooking apples. There’s a proper tight grassy/citrusy thing too, lemon skin and green apple pips, reminds me loads of those young Grüner Veltliners with their white pepper kick. Not exactly unsexy but a little tough, you know? Feels like reading something Russian, maybe Dostoevsky on a dreich afternoon – needs work, but you’re intrigued. Palate brings a strange sunflower oil silkiness, but it’s wrestled down by pith and pips. Slightly smoked almonds float through, but mostly it’s all that leesy, grippy texture. Finish is very long, still crisp and citrussy, but the bitter pips and grassiness just sit there. It’s an oddball dram, definitely not a crowd-pleaser, but I’m kind of here for its quiet, steely mood.

Warm and cosy dram 🥃 Bit of honey, oak, and gentle spice. Feels smooth, with a wee smoky edge and a sweet finish. Quite moreish, honestly.

Cor, this one’s got a proper cosy feel 🥃 First whiff is all honey’d nuts and a faint drift o’ peat smoke, like a bonfire on a damp autumn eve 🔥 On the tongue it’s silky — malty sweetness, a wee tang of orange peel, then that gentle, spicy tingle. The finish lingers wi’ a warm, oaky hug, just a nudge of salt and a whisper of toffee. Nothin’ shouty, just dead comfy. Feels like a dram to sip slow by the fire.

First whiff, proper smoky and peaty, innit? 🔥 Then some sweet honey notes and a zing of citrus 🍋, like marmalade on toast. Got a bit of spicy ginger warmth too 🌶️. Texture is creamy smooth, almost like butterscotch, with hints of vanilla and oak 🍦. Really rich, mate, feels like a hug in a glass. Finish is long and warming, with a touch of nutty almond and dry leather. Slight bitter edge, but balenced perfectly. Lovely stuff for a cozy evening. 👍

Oof, this whisky’s got proper layers, hasn’t it? 🥃 First off, it’s dead smooth on the tongue, like honey and vanilla havin’ a wee chat. Then boom—smoky notes come through, a bit of peat that’s warm and cozy. Fruity hints too, maybe apple or pear, and a spicy kick at the end that just lingers. Absolutely lush, innit? 😊
