Blimey, where to start… pours a deep ambery gold in the glass, proper thick and oily. Nose hits like a creel net dragged through a puddle of tar and old engine grease – hugely medicinal peat smoke, sharp ointments, hospital corridors. Then the boiler smoke rolls in, smoked kippers, anchovies, and a whiff of rubber fishing wellies that’s almost veering towards the comic. There's hessian, pine resin, and something wonderfully dirty, coasterly grubby. On the palate it’s extremely big, punchy, and full of miso paste umami – salted butter, cured game meats, black olives, smoked sea salt. That brine mixed with lemon juice cuts through, then it doubles down on tarred rope, bitter dark chocolate, espresso, and a slick of root beer syrup. Quite challenging stuff, but there’s a dry sherry profile humming underneath with expensive marzipan and salted almonds. Finish is long, leathery, peppery, a bit of fennel seed and slated liquorice, trailing off into smoked chilli and a wonderfully thick salty vibe. Really damn good, one of those ilk that stays with you for ages.

Warm and cosy dram 🥃 I get honey, a bit of orange peel, soft spice and some oaky dryness. Feels mellow, slightly creamy, with a lovley gentle smoke at the end. Nice for a quiet evening.

Ooh, getting loads of vanilla and honey upfront 🍯... bit of smoke in the back, kinda like burnt toast? Sweet butterscotch comes through after. My mate says it's got a chocolatey finish but I mainly get oaky spice. Proper autumn dram this

Well 'ere goes mate 🥃🥃 Smell is kinda like... bonfire smoke meets overripe plums? Quite 'eavy on the nose init. First sip hits ya with this creamy caramel thing, almost like butterscotch. Then gets all warming in yer chest, proper cozy 🔥 Bit of dry fruit too - raisins n' such. Maybe a touch of dark chocolate on the finish. Leaves this lovely long smoky aftertaste that just lingers, innit. Not too sweet, not too harsh. Quite qite drinkable actually 👍 *swirls glass* Yeah deffo gettin' some woody notes now... oak I reckon.

Right, first sip – a bold smokiness hits, then some spicy notes come through. 🥃 Really smooth finish, hints of oak and a touch of sweet. Warming up nicely on a chilly eve. 😊 A proper dram, this one – luvs it.
