Right, so this one’s a bit of a curious mix. Nose hits first with green apples and sweet pears, like stewed fruit almost, then a whiff of custard and a strange chalky edge. 🍏🍐 Sipping it… apples ruling the show, proper stewed apples with a hint of cranberry tang. There’s a soft seaweed saltiness underneath, almost like seawater on the finish. Mid-palate, it gets weirdly herbal — a touch of aniseed and gunpowder tea, maybe a little thuja wood oil thing going on. Feels young, that new-make-y spirit pokes through, but not in a harsh way. The aftertaste is salty-sweet, like Dr. Pepper that’s gone flat with a pinch of pepper and saltier notes. Teak oil sheen on the tongue, then pears again. Honestly, it’s quite accurate to that odd list — green tea and herbs linger. Not my usual, but it’s fun. 😄
