Just cracked open a new bottle, had a cheeky dram straight. First thing hits me is this burst of ripe stone fruit... peach, maybe apricot? Bit of a spicy kick underneath, like cinnamon or nutmeg. Got a really smooth mouthfeel, not harsh at all. Wait, there's a faint whiff of smoke? Not peaty, more like toasted oak or a distant bonfire. Finish is long, warming, with a lingering sweetness. Proper nice, that. 😌🥃 Gonna let it sit for a bit, see how it opens up.
