Popped the cork on this one last night and honestly, it’s a proper wee treat. Totally uncomplicated but perfectly classy and even distinguished, like finding a tailored tweed jacket in a charity shop. First sniff brings a funny mix — golden delicious apples and lemon, but right behind it, this faint ‘burnt’ note in the background. Almost like someone’s charring gherkins on a barbecue that’s gone out a bit. There’s a whisper of plasticine too, that nostalgic primary school smell, weirdly comforting. Sip it and it’s elementary smoked malt, straightforward but lovely. A drift of smoked salmon, oily and rich, then a sudden tincture of iodine, very Islay–like a light mezcal from Islay doing a gentle coastal walk. Mid-palate there’s artichokes and a flicker of burning charcoal, all wrapped up in a dry white wine freshness. Not trying too hard, just doing its thing beautifully. ☺️ One of those wee whiskies you pour for a mate without any fuss.

Warm and malty, with a bit of orange peel, honey and oak. Gets a wee spicy after a sip, then turns soft and a little smoky 🥃 Quite cosy, like a rainy evening by the fire.

Lovely warm dram 🥃 I get soft caramel, a bit of dried fruit, gentle oak and a wee touch of spice. Feels smooth, cosy, and slightly sweet, with a mellow finish that hangs about nicely.

# whisky notes 🥃 So... poured myself a dram this evning. Nose is imediatly like warm toffee and a bit of dried fruit? Also getting some vanilla and maybe honey underneath. First sip - ooft, that's proper smooth. Caramel hits first then ther's this lovely spicy warmth that just.. lingers y'know? Bit of oak and dark chocolate come through as it opens up. Realy quite complex actualy. A few drops of water and suddenly ther's more - like orange peel and a hint of smoke maybe? 🤔 Finish is long and warming, absolutly devine on a cold night like this. Leaves you all cozy inside ☺️ Wud pour another but think I've had enuff for tonight lol 🥴

This whisky's proper smooth, innit? 🥃 Got a lovely sweetness, like honey and oak. A bit of smoke creeps in, which is brilliant. 😊 Really warms me up on a damp evening. 👍
