Ah, this one's got a lovely warmth to it right from the start 🥃
First sip, you get this beautiful honey sweetness, almost like golden syrup on toast. Then it opens up - bit of dried fruit, maybe some dark chocolate coming through.
The finish is where it really shines though. Long and warming, with a gentle smokiness that lingers without being overpowering. Bit of vanilla and oak at the end 🌳
Deffo one of those you want to savour slowly on a chilly evening. Goes down proper smooth, not harsh at all.
Would pair nicely with a good cheese board, methinks. Theres a subtle spice note that develops as it sits in the glass - cinnamon maybe? Or nutmeg? Cant quite put my finger on it but its lovely 👌
The mouthfeel is quite rich and coating, realy satisfying stuff. Not too heavy but definitley not thin either.
Wud reccommend letting it breathe for a few mins before diving in. Makes a world of difference 🥃✨
