Right then, let’s have a proper nosing… deep gold in the glass, like old polished copper. First whiff and it’s not shouting fresh fruit at you at all – instead, there’s this gorgeous, thick-cut orange marmalade on heavily toasted bread. Proper malty backbone, too. That’s masterful, that is. On the sip it’s sumptuous but almost austere with it – the sweetness is kept on a tight leash. It’s evolved amazingly, honestly. The maritime, salty side just rolls in: seashells, a bit of meaty crab shell, faint kelp drying on a rock. Not quite full-on shellfish bisque, but close. There’s a slightly bitter twist at the end, like chicory root, which I love. Only thing, the finish goes just very slightly short for me – it’s there and then it’s gone, leaving this lingering saltiness and a ghost of orange. Still, very moreish. 🌊🍊

Warm, oaky and a bit spicy — like honey, dried fruit and a whiff of smoke by the fire 🔥 Goes down smooth, with a nice peppery tingle and a sweet, lingering finish. Proper cosy dram.

Warm and easy-going, with a cosy wee glow 🥃 Bit of honey, soft spice, and a gentle oaky finish. Feels like a quiet evening by the fire.

Warm and cosy dram 🥃 I get soft vanilla, a bit of dried fruit, gentle spice and oak. Feels smooth, slightly sweet, with a wee smoky tingle at the end. Nice for a quiet evening, honestly.

Lovely cosy dram 🥃 Feels warm, a bit honeyed and oaky, with a gentle spice kicking in after. Quite smooth, not too shouty — just nice for a slow evening.
