Right, so this one’s a light gold in the glass. First sniff and I’m getting grist, a bit of pinewood, and this odd chlorophyll thing – like crushed nettles or mown grass that’s sat a while. There’s a proper pencil eraser note lurking, and something waxy… Barbour grease and a faint whiff of teak oil. Not very sexy, honestly 😅 On the palate, the arrival’s good – sweet pearish and beerish, like a ripe pear dipped in lager. Pears, greengages, and a little salty tang. Strangely made me think of dim sums with that salty plum dip? A bit random. Water kills it – turns the whole thing to vague malty nothing. Neat, it’s malty and very good up front, but then it goes a tad indefinite, just sort of wanders off. Not extremely motivating to pour another, but pleasant enough in a quiet, dusty-workshop sort of way.

Feels quite warm and cosy 🥃 I get a bit of honey, dried fruit, gentle spice and a wee smoky edge. Smooth-ish, with a dry woody finish that lingers nicely. Bit moreish, honestly.

Warm and cosy dram 🥃 Bit of honey, oak and dried fruit, with a wee smoky kick. Feels smooth, slightly spicy, and leaves a nice comfy glow. Not too fussy, just proper relaxing.

🔥 First sip - wow, that's smoky! Like a bonfire 🔥 but sweet underneath Hints of caramel and vanilla... yeah, nice Bit of oakiness there too Finish is long, warming 🔥 Maybe some dark fruit? 🍇 Yep, that's a proper sipper 👍

Ooh, just had a dram of this one and it's quite lovely actually 😍 Nose - gettin' loads of caramel and a bit of honey, maybe some dried fruit in there too 🍯🍎 Palte... palate (always get that wrong lol) - proper rich and smooth, like butterscotch mixed with a touch of vanilla. Some dark chocolate notes coming through as well 🍫 There's a wee bit of spice at the end, maybe cinnamon or summat? And a hint of oak that lingers nicely 🪵 Finish is medium to long, warm and satisfying. Like sitting by the fire on a cold evening 🥃🔥 Honestly quite moreish, could easily have another. Goes down a treat that one! 7/10 would recommend for a wee nightcap 👍
