Proper lush, this one 🥃 First sniff’s like a fruit bowl gone boozy – stewed apples, a bit of pear skin, and summat almost tropical, like dried pineapple maybe. There’s a soft vanilla sponge cake vibe too, the kind your nan would bake, with a whisper of cinnamon floatin round the edges. Sippin it neat gives a warm, oily coat on the tongue. Honeyed nuts, a flicker of salted caramel, then a wee prickle of oak spice – nutmeg n clove, but gentle, no burn. That orchard fruit comes back louder now, like baked plum drizzled with golden syrup. Finish is decent length, leaves a gentle heat that slowly fades into toasty malt and a hint of worn leather. Feels like a fireside dram, proper comfy 👍✨ Couple bevvies in, you’d swear there’s a butterscotch note winkin at ya. Just a touch of peppery rye tingle at the death, keeps it interesting. No off-notes, just honest, laid-back sippin. Would happily nurse this while the rain hammers the window. Cheers x
