Warm and a bit honeyed at first 🥃 I get soft fruit, light spice, a wee touch of oak, then a gentle smoky sweetness. Quite easy-going, with a cosy finish that hangs about nicely.

Then, as it opens up, there’s this rich, dark chocolate note coming through, 🍫 almost like a quality cocoa powder. Underneath it all, a gentle, smoky whisper, like embers on a bonfire. 🔥 On the palate, it’s surprisingly smooth for that initial spice. That chocolate morphs into a more creamy, dark fruit vibe – stewed plums or figs, maybe? There’s a subtle hint of vanilla sweetness holding it all together. The smoke is more integrated here, a friendly background guest rather than taking over. Finish is medium-long. That fruity sweetness lingers, then fades into a gentle, peppery warmth and a final breath of that lovely smoke. Quite morish, really. 👍
