Full gold colour in the glass, looks proper.
Nose is a bit violety, some red berries and blackcurrants peeking through.
To be honest, not too fond of this nose at first — slightly winey aromas, and something a bit soapy?
But give it a few seconds... ah, it's improving after a few seconds.
Sip it, and the spirit finally defeats the sherry.
Suddenly it's coastal — briny peatiness, seawater, campfire on the beach.
Rightly briny and smoked, with a smoked and salted grenadine twist.
Keeps changing though, not an easy one to pin down.
The violety touches come back, even some peonies. Quite beautiful.
Very personal profile, whacky kind of balance... but nothing excessive.
Somewhat ala Bowmore 1985? Medium long finish, slightly soapy still.
Overall very good, just a very personal pour.
