Right then, let’s have a wee sniff…
👃 Toasted oak and a waft of old leather, like a favourite armchair. A whisper of dried apricot and somethin’ almost nutty.
Sippin’ neat now.
🍯 First touch is all warm honey and a gentle malty biscuit note. Then a little surprise of stewed apples with a dusting of cinnamon. Not too sweet tho – there’s a lovely earthy spine holding it up.
A splash o’ water opens it right up ✨
That apple turns to ripe pear, and I’m gettin’ a faint whiff of heathery peat smoke – more a bonfire memory than a full-on blaze. Touch of candied ginger too.
Finish lingers soft. 🍂
A slow, pepper-tingled warmth that stays with you, with the ghost of dark chocolate and a slight dry oaky kiss. Coats the mouth proper lovely.
Honest truth? It’s like a stroll through an old orchard at dusk, comfy an’ complex without trying too hard. Would happily sit wi’ this for hours. 🥃
