Had a wee dram of this, barely three years of age, but impeccable already. Nose is mad – proper bakery around 5am, warm baguettes, croissants, sourdough, more bread than you’d expect. Then this wave of much more tropical fruit swings in, mangos, puréed avocado, lemon tartelettes. Weirdly, a whiff of kerosene and plasticine, but in a lovely way, not off-putting at all. On the palate it’s fatter than I thought, not peated, just loads of French oaks giving it a creamy texture. Lovely bitter molecules balance the sweet mango and pastry notes. Finish is pretty long, with that sourdough crust thing lingering. Tops, really fab Shizuoka vibe, super tropical without any smoke. Could sip this all arvo. 🥐🥭

Proper cosy dram this. 🥃 Nose is all honey’d vanilla and a whiff of baked orchard fruit… maybe a whisper of oak char lurking, like a bonfire’s ghost. 👃🍯🍂 Sippin’ it — oh, that’s smoooth. Defo gettin’ a butterscotch thing, a spoon of marmalade, then a wee prickle of ginger and cinnamon warmth that rolls across the tongue. A silky, almost oily body. 🌿🔥 Finish lingers gentle, dry oak minglin’ with that honey’d sweetness and a tiny salty tang, like sea breeze through heather. Proper moreish, could lose an evenin’ with this. 🌊

Right, this one’s a proper cosy dram 🥃 Nose is all ginger biscuits and baked apple, bit of heather honey drifting in. Palate? Toffee and dark choc straight off, then a wee wisp of bonfire smoke, just a flicker. Spiced oak and a touch of ripe pear peeking through. Finish lingers with that vanilla, a whisper of leather and tobacco. Lovely drop. Might have a wee typo but you get the gist 😊

Just had a dram of this 🥃. Nose is all charred oak and a gentle peat reek—like a damp bonfire on the coast 🌊🔥. First sip? Salted caramell and dried apricott right away, then a wave of vanilla and a wee drizzle of honey 🍯. Mid-palate there’s a proper spicey kick, think cracked black pepper and a sliver of orange peel 🍊. Finish linggers with campfire smok and a lick of brine. Proper cosy evenin pour.

Right then, this one... 🤔 First whiff is all 🍎 apple and malty sweetness. On the tongue, it's proper smooth, get a lovely hit of that apple again, maybe some... citrus? Then comes this gentle waft of 🔥 smoke, not overpowering, just a nice warmth in the finish. Really easy drinking, this. Cracking stuff. 😋
