Whiskyspace Notes 1429

The first sip hits you with this lovely, almost buttery shortbread note mixed with runny honey. It’s proper warming stuff, like a hug in a glass. You get that toasted oak coming through, not too punchy, just enough to ground it. After a bit, it turns into toffee and maple syrup, with a bit of that creamy beeswax texture. 🍯 There’s a subtle hint of oranges and lemon curd in there, which is nice. It’s definitely a big, honest malt whisky — barleyish right at the start, with bags of sweet cereals and cornflakes. The finish is medium, fading out with some soft earthiness and a whisper of herbs. It’s a good, solid dram — not one you’ll remember forever, but perfectly decent for a quiet evening. 🌾
