Ah, this is a proper treat. Not complicated at all, but wonderfully natural—like a basket of summer fruits handed straight over the fence. First sip brings all those ripe plums and greengages, a lovely sweetness that's very fruity. Then it turns into slices of dried apple and a touch of honey, really reminding me of an apple tart fresh from the oven... apple tart is life, after all! 😄 There's a faintly aniseed note and even a slightly minty edge that lingers in the aftertaste, which is medium in length. Firm yet cheerful, it just does the job perfectly. Like a mild ale on a sunny afternoon. A young malt, but very lovely. Has this Danish pastry and dried pear quality that does remind us of our childhoods, I reckon. A drop of water should do it good. Excellent for its age, and completely devoid of artifice. Very good.
