Whiskyspace Notes 1326

Crikey, this one's really super-good! 😊 First sip's got that lovely lemony porridge thing going on, with a touch of sorrel and raw wool... reminds me of countryside walks. Then it shifts to salted caramel and lemon fudge, restrained with the oak though – not too much. Slight sour notes creep in, but the nice clean texture keeps it balanced. Bit of punchy fino character, maybe a hint of straw and kiwis? Traditional mud in the background, fermentary but not heavy. Finish is rather long, honestly – keeps you thinking! 🥃

First sip hits with rather lovely sour notes – crikey! There's a fermentary edge, and the peater in me appreciates the good peat and charcoal. It's rather long, with salted caramel and lemon fudge developing. The oak is restrained, almost like raw wool in texture. Traditional mud and smoked almonds come to mind, with a lemony finish. All on an equal footing, really. 👍

First sip hits with that chalky, mineral kind of thing – really punchy fino sherry note, almost like smoked almonds straight out of the bag. A bit of a sour lemon tang sneaks in, though, which keeps it lively. The finish is rather long, you know? It makes me think of a working barbecue, all that charcoal and even a bit of traditional mud or wet earth afterwards. Strangely, I get a flash of kiwis in there, maybe just the tartness. The texture is nice and clean. Then come the sweeter thoughts – lemon fudge, or maybe lemony porridge, like a proper countryside breakfast. There’s a whiff of straw too. Overall, it’s that good peat smoke that ties it all together. Smoked lemons, honestly. Love it neat, wouldn’t want to muddle it with food. Just a slow sipper. 🥃

Proper coastal dram this — salty, peaty, with a bit of wakame and chalky dryness 🌊 Getting smoked lemons, lemon fudge, and salted caramel, then a punchy fino sort of bite. Feels a bit like standing near a working barbecue in the countryside. Long finish too… smoky, lemony, slightly funky, really lovely stuff.

Bit smoky and oaky, with a cosy vanilla sweetness 🥃 I get dried fruit, a touch of pepper, and a wee salty edge. Feels warming, smooth-ish, and nicely mellow at the end.
