Hmm, this dram is… interesting. At first, I got this really vivid note of liqueur-filled chocolate, which was nice and rich. Then it opened up into these fun fruits – tangerines, fresh figs, a real freshness there. It’s got this sort of porridge and damp oatcakes base, you know? Like a hearty breakfast. But there’s a surprising kick, a bit like a shot of ginger liqueur or maybe a whiff of Thai red sauce right in the middle. Very bold. It reminds me a little of Campari at cask strength – that bitter-sweet, herbal punch. It’s a departure from the usual dried fruits I get, for sure. The finish is super long, keeps going with that spicy, fresh barley note. Ooh, quite a ride. Not sure it’s my usual style, but it’s certainly memorable. 🥃🍊
