Right, first nosing - I'm getting white peaches and melons straight away, quite bright and fresh actually. There's something shy and delicate about it, maybe a touch of green tea in there? After a sip I notice the proper refill wood character, and there's a hint of plasticine that's oddly charming. Pink bananas? Yeah I can see that. Tiny fruits and herbs dancing about, some dill and lemongrass coming through. The Irishness shows up in the finish, bit of verbena too. Medium body overall, doesn't quite feel 36 tbh. Apples as well if you look for them 🍏 Perhaps not the most stunning part of the dram, but it's pleasant enough 🥃

Oh this is interesting… immediately got lemongrass and that sweet, waxy note of pink bananas – like the little ones you see in Asian shops. There’s a damp clay pot note too, and something herbal, maybe dill? Huh. Very oily texture. Now I’m getting unripe melons and pineapple that’s not quite sweet yet. Something mineral underneath, like wet stones. It feels medium-bodied but… there’s a shy delicacy to it. Honestly doesn’t feel like a 36 year-old, it’s more vibrant and fresh 🌿 Wait, now there’s plasticine and a hint of paraffin wax – very old-school. Apples come through on the finish, with verbena. The Irishness might be that soft, grain-forward profile? It’s less loud and clear than you’d expect, more subtle. Really interesting pour. 👍

Right then, let’s have a wee taste. First sniff is all warm honey 🍯 and stewed pears, wi’ a bit of dried fig. There’s a malty backbone, like fresh baked bread, but then a soft wisp o’ peat creeps in—barely there, just enough. Sippin’ neat, it’s surprisingly smooth. Caramal apple and a touch of lemon zest, then a prickle of white pepper. The oak sits gentle, like an old dusty cupboard, in a good way. Mid-palate you get this lovely vanilla cream 🍦, almost custardy. A whisper of smoke at the back, then a flash of tropic fruit—maybe mango? The finish is medium-long, leaving a drifty, spicy warmth wi’ a tiny salty tang. Not a sherry bomb, more of a balanced dram. Proper easy drinker. Aye, that'll do nicely. 🥃✨

Quite a cosy dram 🥃 Soft sweetness, a bit of oak, and a gentle spicy warmth. Feels smooth and easy-going, with a wee fruity note hanging about. Nice for a slow evening, not too fussy.
