Poured a dram tonight, really took my time with it. On the nose, it’s quite subtle, no biggish notes of anything. Got these discreet whiffs of humus, maybe a bit of dates and marzipan hiding in there. Quite a miracle it doesn’t feel overwhelmed at such an age. 🤔 The palate is more lace than Harris Tweed, you know? A complex assortment of tiny flavours. White pepper, some candied ginger, bitter oranges and a minty hint. It’s usually more full and satisfying, but this one is all under control, elegant. The oak never takes control, just whispers. Towards the finish, it becomes a notch louder, with more cinnamon on a plum pie, and a lingering taste of mead and orange blossom water. The aftertaste is medium long, with that cinnamon sticking around. A good example of a very old one, but it’s a different beast altogether. Not a bomb, but rather a quiet, fascinating conversation. 🥃

说实话，这杯酒的颜色淡得让我有点意外，比1953年那款浅多了，但倒进杯子就闻到一股很干净的花香，像橙花水，还有点甜丝丝的肉桂味，让我想起小时候吃的那种撒了肉桂粉的梅子派。 抿一口，哇，这口感真的很精致，各种小味道混在一起却很和谐。有金橘的微酸，一点点丁香，甚至有点雨后泥土的那种潮湿气息。胡椒的辛香很温柔，带出一些杏仁糖和坚果的味道。 你知道吗，它喝起来真的像走进了另一个世界，很优雅，但不会让人觉得太“端着”。我喝过一些更老的酒，反而没这么灵动。它酸度很好，有像熟透的醋栗和烤苹果的感觉，还有蜂蜜和姜糖的甜暖。 收尾的时候，橡木的味道稍微明显了一点点，但始终没有抢戏。整体是那种你需要慢慢品，才能发现的复杂，各种小细节像拼图一样慢慢展开。不过说实话，我可能还是会更喜欢那种更饱满、更有力量感的版本。 这酒像一位穿着考究但不高调的绅士，价格不菲，但喝到它的瞬间，你会觉得，嗯，有些东西确实物有所值。

这瓶老酒一开，鼻子先是一阵 subtlety，没什么 bombshell，倒是有点 caraway 和 white pepper 的暗涌，混着像 Earl Grey 茶那种低调的香气。 倒入杯子里慢慢醒开，居然闻到一点点 humus 和 moss 的土壤感，还有 kumquats、bitter oranges 的果香，挺 royal 的样子。 抿一口，口感真是 another world，不像有些老酒那么 raisiny，反而很 plum，带着 dates 和 baked apples 的甜润，mints 和 cinnamon 的 spices 若隐若现。Earl grey tea 的感觉更明显了，甚至像 mead 一样温润。 回味 medium long，但到了后段 oak 慢慢出来了，还多了 cinnamon on a plum pie 的温暖，chestnuts 和 marzipan 的尾韵。整体很 delicate and elegant，虽然 strength 偏低，但 kept a large part of its vibrancy。 跟某些 30、40 年的老酒比，它少点 bling 和 kitsch，更多是 lace 那种细腻，感觉 pedigree 很足。喝到最后有点像 candied ginger 和 liquorice 的收尾，整体 all under control，真是 quite a miracle。

Lovely wee dram 🥃 Soft honey, a bit of oak and gentle spice. Feels warm, cosy, and slightly smoky — proper nice on a quiet evening.

Oh mate, this one's proper lovely innit 😍 First sip - got this warm honey thing goin on, like proper golden stuff. Then boom, some kinda vanilla kicks in, maybe a bit of toffee? Hard to tell tbh The oak's there but not in ya face y'know, more like a gentle hug at the back of ya throat. Spicy finish thoug - bit of cinnamon maybe, or nutmeg? Deffo some Christmas vibes goin on 🎄 Alc0hol's smooth af, not burnin at all. Nice legs on the glass too, proper thick and slow Kinda reminds me of sittin by the fire on a cold nite, ye kno? That warm fuzzy feelin in ya chest. The aftertaste lingers for ages - get some dried fruit comin through, maybe figs or suttin? Honestly this is a proper sipper, not one for mixin with coke or anyfink. Just neat, maybe a tiny splash of water to open it up abit 🥃 Deffo gonna be savourin this one slowly init
