Right, just poured a dram of this six-year-old and blimey, it’s a proper smoke bomb. High impact from the off, seaweed fire and a sort of burnt plastic thing but genuinely *in a good way*, like new tyres on hot tarmac. Then there’s this massive briny kick— oysters, capers, sardines, even a whiff of beach sand. The strength's very high yet somehow it stays crystalline and bright, with lemon lifting it to new heights. Loads of olives and a mezcaly vibe that’s more apparent than in older bottlings, less expressive maybe but it just works. White wine and a faint olive oil note float around too. Finish is interminable, really very long. I’m mucho impressed, honestly. More of all that, please. You just cannot beat this young, feisty spirit. Couldn't be nicer. I love this.
