Had a wee dram of something that turned into a right unusual adventure 🧐 Nose was pure beeswax and old waxes, straight out of a 1970s dusty cupboard, then this flood of mead—like cracking an ancient bottle of the stuff. A whiff of mirabelles too, those ripe plums dipped in honey. Then the sip… laughably short fruity arrival, a flash of Meursault-like polish and juicy plums, gone in a blink. Immediately turns dry and bitterish, mentholated straw with metallic touches creeping in. Mid-palate goes all Fernet-Branca—mustardy notes and a hint of cigarette tobacco, proper un-Balvenie territory. Pretty sketchy honestly, borderline weird. But the finish? Long, surprisingly very nice. That old mead and wax vibe returns, softens into something with many charms. Feels like drinking a ghost from the ’70s. Not what I expected at all, but I kept going back for another sniff.

Right, so this one's got a proper coastal vibe—🌊 sea spray and a whiff of bonfire on the nose. First sip, it's all honey’d orchard fruit, like baked apples with a crack of black pepper. Mid-palate a wee burst of citrus zest 🍋 then it settles into this warm, malty biscuit thing. The finish is long, a tad salty with a gentle peat smoke that lingers. Feels like a dram for a dreich day, comforting but with a wee kick. Wouldn't say no to another. Slàinte! 🥃

Oh blimey, got that proper autumn fruit cake vibe, like 🍎 with loads of dark toffe and spice. Properly good, that. A bit of smokiness creeps in later, like bonfire night 🎆 but not overpowering. Finish is long, warming, with some oakiness. Rather smashing, all in all. 👍

Right then, had a dram last night that proper hit the spot 👌 First thing - got this lovely caramel sweetness, almost like burnt toffee 🍬 Then there's a bit of floral coming through, subtle like, not too perfumey. Quite nice actually. The smoke's there but not overwhelming, more like a gentle warmth innit 🔥 Hints of vanilla and honey in the middle, which I absolutely love in a good scotch. Finish is warm and a bit spicy, lingers nicely 🥃 Got that classic malty backbone too. Honestly, smashing stuff for a cold evening. Would defo have another glass 💯 Anyone else into their whisky here? 🤔

Right, this one's a bit of a journey, innit? 🥃 First sip, you get this lovely, like, creamy toffee and baked apple. Proper autumnal vibe. 🍎 Then it opens up, and there's a right surprising hit of citrus zest and a whisper of spice. Ginger, maybe? 👌 The finish is long, warming... leaves a sort of cedar and dark chocolate thing on your tongue. Rich and proper moreish. 🍫 Cheers!
