Right then, had a proper nose at this one 👃. First thing I got was a whiff of burnt toast... no, wait, it's more like that toasty oak char from a Sunday roast's gravy. Then it shifts, like... you know when you open an old wooden chest? That dusty, sweetish smell. A sip brings... crikey, that's a peppery kick! 🌶️ Bit of dried fruit sneaking in after, maybe a raisin or two. It's quite warming on the way down. Almost like a hot toddy without the lemon. Has this sort of lingering, chalky sweetness... reminds me of that malty bit in a Crunchie bar, but less sickly. Some might say it's a bit "mechanical" or "industrial" in places, but I kind of like that edge. Finish is long, got a hint of... soap? 🫧 No, not soap. It's more like that clean scent of freshly laundered linen. Interesting.
