Took a sip after dinner – first thing that hits you is a big waft of toasted almonds and a hint of cinnamon 🍪. Like walking through an autumn orchard, y'know?
On the tongue it's proper smooth, almost creamy. Get some ripe blackberry jam and a drizzle of honey dancing about, with a bit of dark chocolate underneath. 🍫
Then the spices sneak in – a little white pepper and clove, not too fierce. There's a lovely warmth that spreads, a bit like a cosy fireplace. 🔥
Finishing it off, you get a gentle, smoky note – like distant campfire smoke, not that strong peaty blast. Just enough to make you think of damp earth and oak. Lingers nicely with that berry sweetness, making you want another sip. A proper "ooh, that's complex" dram, init? ✨
