Blimey, this isn't light and easy at all! It's like quaffing concentrated ale – very malty and rather fatter than others. On the nose, I'm getting white wine and faint waxiness, with bitter oranges and some cloves. Whiffs of baker's yeast too. The taste is sweet ale with slight prickliness – tinned pears, slightly burnt, nutmeg, and sweets. Feels like very strong beer, something burnt and totally on malted barley. The finish is rather long, and it's a tad difficult to place, but good, for sure. Reminds me of a cold-distilled brew, but I'll keep it mysterious. 😊

Started off with a bit of a punch, mate. Not the lightest dram out there, for sure. 🍻 There's this slightly burnt note that hits you first, kinda like over-toasted bread, but then it mellows into some nice sweets and a hint of nutmeg. Texture-wise, it's rather fatter than others I've tried – quite creamy. Got a slight prickliness on the tongue, which reminds me a bit of a strong beer, maybe even a white wine vibe at times. The malted barley is totally in your face – no hiding from that. And oh, there's this faint waxiness that lingers. Overall, a tad difficult to pin down, but the finish is rather long, leaving you thinking. Not an easy sipper, but interesting! 😊

Gosh, this one's a bit of a beast, honestly. Not a light and easy sipper at all! First hit is all very malty, like that feeling of having drunk half a pint of very strong, sweet ale. There's a slight prickliness there, almost like tiny bubbles. And under it all, something that's just slightly burnt, like the bottom of a good crusty loaf. 🍞 Then the fruit comes through, but it's not fresh fruit. More like bitter oranges or tinned pears in syrup, with a hint of white wine acidity. And there's a proper savoury note of cloves in the background, tying it all together. It's definitely totally on the malted barley, and rather fatter and chewier in the mouthfeel than a lot of others I've tried. Complex, for sure. You'd know you'd had a dram. 😄

First sip hits with a proper malty kick, almost like burnt toast with a strong beer vibe. Then there’s this baker’s yeast and nutmeg thing going on,kinda cozy but a bit intense. Finishes long with tinned pears and bitter oranges, surprisingly waxy, like a sweet ale left out a bit too long. Feels like quaffing something concentrated,a tad challenging but not bad with white wine notes sneaking in. Gonna sit with this one,it’s… interesting. 🙂
