Deep gold in the glass, proper coastal vibe 🌊 I get salty sea air, oysters, kelp and a bit of iodine, then smoky toasted bread and a meaty chicken-broth warmth. Not much fresh fruit, more marmalade, mango and tinned fruit jammy notes. Feels quite austere but sumptuous too — a bit wild, rural, and very Islay-countryside. Finish is slightly short, but still tasty and briney.

Warm and malty, with a bit of honey, dried fruit and gentle spice. Feels cosy, slightly oaky, and leaves a wee peppery tingle 🥃 Nice easy dram for a quiet evening.
