Pale amber in the glass, but the nose took a minute—tad closed at first, then it just unravelled. Whiff of miso soup, honestly, with a few drops of soy sauce lurking. Kind of approachable once it breathes, that cocoa wood smell drifting in, walnuts and a faint dried mushroom funk. With a splash of water it swims like a champ ☕️ opens up this big fat chocolate and walnut eau-de-vie thing, salted coffee, almost a Maggi and oxtail soup concoction. On the palate it lands like Mortlach meets dry oloroso—quite heavy, assertive, all dark chocolate, oak, and a tang that reminds me of Manzanilla bleeding into dry Madeira. There’s a walnut stain bitterness mixed with high extractions, a savoury kick almost like distilled Marsala. Finish is very long, coating everything in that dark, salty, nutty warmth. Weirdly moreish for something so intense.

Ahh proper lovely dram this 🥃 Nose is all soft vanilla fudge, bit of oak, and a waft of dried fruits... maybe sultanas? Then a gentle puff of peat smoke, nutty too. On the palate it’s silky smooth. Caramel and toffe start things off, then a wee spice kick – cinnamon maybe? A touch of citrus zest cuts through, and that sherried richness sneaks in. Finish is long, malty, with a warm glow of honey and a faint whisper of seasalt and dark choclate. Makes you want another sip right awa’ 😌

Blimey, this whisky's proper smoky on the nose, like a bonfire with a bit of damp wood. Got some nuttiness in there too, maybe hazelnuts? And a sweetish aftertaste, kinda like caramel. Smooth enough for a wee dram after work. 🥃 Sometimes it leans a bit spicy, like cinnamon, but not too harsh. I reckon it's a decent pour for the price. 😌

Ah, this whisky's somethin' else! 🥃 First off, the nose is all warm honey and a hint of vanilla – really comforting, innit? On the palate, it's sooth and creamy, with flavours of ripe fruit and maybe a touch of dark chocolate. There's a subtle smokiness that lingers, but it's not overpowerin'. The finish is long and warming, leavin' you with a pleasant oaky aftertaste. Proper lush, that! 😊 Sometimes I get a bit of spice kickin' in, but it all balences out nicely. Defo a dram for cozy eevnings.

Blimey, that first sip... a real burst of sweet honey and a bit of lemon zest, that. 🍋 Then it sort of settles into a lovely, warm vanilla and a touch of toasted oak. The finish is long and spicy, with a hint of dark chocolate that just lingers. Quite smooth, mind you. Just a proper hug in a glass on a chilly evening. 🥃
