First sip got that sweet oak lingering, almost like honey meets apricots 🍯 Actually feels a wee tad less oaky than I expected—more subtle, like a less expressive version of some bolder ones I’ve tried. But then, oaky notes start coming out a little more as it sits. There’s a hint of plums and something floral, maybe like dandelion puffs? Then suddenly a bit of white pepper and mint liqueur—crème de menthe vibes, honestly. Refreshing but odd in a good way. The aftertaste stays sweet with oak, full gold colour still in the glass. Some are too oaky for me, but this one balances well. Just pure magic when it hits right. Sadly, yes, it’s too expensive to keep stocked 😅 Irresistible? Yeah, that 1972 bottle got me. Gone for good once the bottle’s empty. Brilliant, really.

First off, poured this dram and it's a beautiful full gold in the glass. 🥃 Got superb whiffs of dandelions and plums right away – lovely nose. But sipping it, sadly, it feels too oaky for me. I get honeys and a bit of white pepper, but I wish it had a little more oak balance; it's like a less expressive version of what I hoped for. The aftertaste has sweet oak linger, which is nice, and there are moments of pure magic – brilliant notes that pop out. Less sherry influence here, though, and those good bits seem gone for good after a while. Still, enjoyed it overall. 😊

Last night's dram was stunning. First sip, an explosion of fruits and spices – plums and honeys come through brilliantly. Pure magic with a subtle mint liqueur hint, kinda like crème de menthe. The oak is a wee tad less oaky at first, but soon oak comes out a little more with white pepper. Full gold color, and the sweet oak aftertaste lingers gone for good. Cerebral and brilliant, though less sherry makes it less expressive. Sadly, yes, too oaky for some, but for that 1972 vintage, it's irresistible – the anti-maltoporn brigade might say it's too expensive. Amazing overall! 🍯😊

Full gold colour, right? 👀 Nose gives superb whiffs of dandelions and honeys – pure magic! Tastes of plums with a bit of mint liqueur and white pepper. Sweet oak in the aftertaste is brilliant, but sadly, yes, it can be too oaky. Less sherry might help, though oak comes out a little more as you go. Not into the anti-maltoporn brigade, but this is amazing – almost like an irresistible old '72 vintage. Cheers! 😊

Honestly, the first sip was all honey and apricot, really lovely. Then the oak kicked in a bit too hard for me. A real explosion of fruits and spices follows, which is stunning, but I wished for a wee tad less oaky punch. Maybe less sherry influence too, it felt like a slightly less expressive version of what it could be. There's a lovely pure magic in the middle, plums and a touch of white pepper. But towards the end, the oak comes out a little more again. It's beautiful, but at this price... I feel it's gone for good from my shelf. 😕
