Pale gold in the glass, the first sniff is a wham-bam of spices – almost like Turkish delights made with rosewater. There's a playful strawberry fruitiness, but underneath it's very, very demonstrative, hitting you with a bigger grassiness and something like fresh pollen. The palate is focused and full-on, cask strength really showing. You get that persistent grassiness again, mixed with some wood and a surprising note of café latte. It's less zesty than some, much closer to a Lowlander's earthy side. Still, a long finish keeps it all going, excellent and warming. 🥃
