Had a dram of this and honestly, it's very good. Clearly from the east of Scotland rather than from the midst of Perthshire — that barley-y indeed note hits you straight off, almost like someone’s adding sugar to their tea, but in a lovely, malty way. Lovely gold in the glass. Nose is full of patchouli and pinewood, then these whiffs of shoe polish, oddly pleasant. Extra-point for the polishes, there’s a whole polishing the silver thing going on, a bit of metal polish that somehow works. Cinnamon, vanilla, and I’m getting panettone again, or rather on orange cakes, sweet and bready. Medium weight, very close to some C/S officials that we could try at the Distillery. Ha. 🥃

Soft vanilla and light oak at first, then a bit of honey, dried fruit and gentle spice. Feels warm, smooth-ish, with a wee peppery kick at the end 🥃 Quite easy to sip, cosy rather than shouty.

This whiskey's got a real smooth feel to it, starts off with a nice smokyness that reminds me of a cozy fireplace. 😊 Sweet notes come through, like vanilla and a bit of honey, with a touch of spice on the finish. The fruity undertones linger nicely – proper enjoyable drop, that! 🥃

First sip's got this warm hug feeling, innit? 🥃 Apple and cinnamon right up front, kinda like my nan's crumble but wif a bit more kick. Then get some vanilla, smooth as. Aye, maybe some honey notes too? Hard to tell but 's proper lovely. Finish is where the smoke comes in, not too heavy, just lingerin' a bit. Like sittin' by a bonfire after a walk in the autumn leaves. 👌 Fink I need another glass to be sure, like.

Right then, smells like a proper autumn walk – hints of ripe pear 🍐 and a little bonfire smoke. 😮‍💨 Taste-wise, it's got a lovely warm hug of vanilla and a bit of that toffee apple sweetness. Quite smooth, not too rough. Finish is where it gets interesting, that spicy cinnamon note lingers a bit, nice and warming. 🔥 A favourite for a chilly evening, that's for sure. ✌️
