Right then, just had a glass and it's quite the ride. Goes down smooth, you know, just go with the flow. The delivery is stunning - really thick and fat on the tongue. Gets you thinking of greasy peat and brilliant little notes popping up. Honestly, it's thrilling, really dominating the palate. Devastatingly complex, I'd say. Stunningly syrupy one second, then bready, like old cigarettes the next. Hints of dried mint and tarragon, a bit lemony and fruity underneath. Oh, and there's a weird anchovy note? In a good way, mind you. Endless finish with camphor and tar. It's rather dominating, but in a gutsy way. Very powerful. Vividly coastal - squid ink, crushed seashells. That brine mixed with olive oil thing is dead on. A bit petrolic, sweaty almost. Like petrol and ointments. Coal dust and salty too, feels raw on the journey. More embrocations and those salty, umami broths. A bit medical but loads of gutsy exotic fruits. It's a proper journey, that. 🥃
