Right then, poured myself a glass of this stuff. Colour’s a proper gold. Sniffing away, I get blackcurrant buds, a bit of cut flowers, peonies even, but then there’s this oily nose, sharp lemony peat, and a hint of smoked lemon juice. Almost like a very fancy rocket salad dressing someone set fire to. 😅 On the palate, it’s pear-shaped in a way, cuts you a bit. Sharp herbal notes upfront, green pepper, that smokescreen feeling. There’s graphite oil in there, smoked meats, a bit of charcoal. No rotting fruits, no glue or plastic, which is good. The finish is a long sharp green one. Wee tad simplistic maybe, but it’s an interesting accident of flavours. Leaves you thinking. 🤔

Honestly first impression is this one's got a proper sharp lemony peat, like smoked lemon juice almost. 🌿 You get that charcoal and coal tar base but it's very clean underneath, no rotting fruits or gluey notes. On the palate it's kind of pear-shaped, a bit oily, then green pepper and rocket salad pop up with these sharp herbal notes. The finish is long, sharp and green - green walnuts, blackcurrant buds. Wee tad simplistic maybe? But there's smoked meats and bacon in there too, like a smokescreen of BBQ stuff. A bit of graphite oil and it cuts you a bit at the end. No plastic thankfully, just a clean gold kinda vibe with peonies if you look for them.

Poured a dram and it's a lovely shade of gold 🌟. Get some coal tar and graphite oil on the nose first, but then there's smoked lemon juice and green walnuts peeking through. A bit of cut flowers, maybe peonies, and sharp lemony peat. The taste is quite sharp, herbal notes and a touch of blackcurrant buds. It's very clean but goes a bit pear-shaped on the palate, if I'm honest. Not too complex, a wee tad simplistic, but interesting. Smoked meats and bacon come through, with a trace of sherriness that feels almost accidental. Finishes long and sharp with green pepper and charcoal. There's no plastic, which is good. Cuts you a bit at the end. Not bad for a Tuesday evening.

Poured this dram and immediately noticed the deep gold colour – inviting, right? First nosing gives a mix of sharp lemony peat and a faint smokiness, almost like a smokescreen hiding something underneath. Took a sip and… interesting, it’s a bit pear-shaped on the palate, kinda soft in the middle. There’s a touch of green pepper, maybe some sharp herbal notes – reminds me of green walnuts, actually. Not getting any rotting fruits or plastic, which is good. The finish has this faint bacon-smoke thing, and just a trace of sherriness in the background. A wee tad simplistic, maybe, but it’s clean and honest. 🤔 Almost feels like a wee old Ardmore that’s been rehabilitated – proper stuff, even with a whiff of coal tar.

Right so poured myself a dram tonight and honestly it's a bit of a ride. 👃 First thing I get is this oily, almost waxy nose — weirdly there's some green walnuts in there, like when you crack one fresh and it's all bitter and sharp. A touch of coal tar too, but not in a bad way, more like a seaside chip shop or something. Took a sip and it's honestly pear-shaped in the best way — like a proper pear drop sweet from the corner shop 🍐 There's a smokescreen of gentle peat going on, lemony and sharp but not aggressive. Picked up some green pepper oddly enough, and maybe blackcurrant buds? Like when you brush past the bush in the garden. Little bit of bacon smokiness in the background, a trace of sherriness that rounds it out. Cut flowers too — reminds me of a Sunday vase on the table, peonies maybe. 🌸 Finish is long and sharp, very green. Leaves you thinking about it for ages after. Like it just sits there with a golden glow. 🥃 No weird plastic notes, no rotting fruit business — just clean interesting stuff honestly. Quite enjoyed this one
