Right then, poured myself a glass of this stuff. Colour’s a proper gold. Sniffing away, I get blackcurrant buds, a bit of cut flowers, peonies even, but then there’s this oily nose, sharp lemony peat, and a hint of smoked lemon juice. Almost like a very fancy rocket salad dressing someone set fire to. 😅 On the palate, it’s pear-shaped in a way, cuts you a bit. Sharp herbal notes upfront, green pepper, that smokescreen feeling. There’s graphite oil in there, smoked meats, a bit of charcoal. No rotting fruits, no glue or plastic, which is good. The finish is a long sharp green one. Wee tad simplistic maybe, but it’s an interesting accident of flavours. Leaves you thinking. 🤔
