Just poured a dram, light amber in the glass. Nosing it is like sticking your head into a proper old sweet shop – cloves, cinnamon, and a weirdly lovely waft of talcum powder and marzipan 🍬. Give it a minute and there’s a raspberry jam doughnut note, all warm and sugary, with candied orange peel (the Luxardo sort) and a hint of salted liquorice. First sip is slightly saline, then it gets big and punchy 🌶️. Loads of earth, game, dark chocolate, and old Amontillado mustiness. Forgot to mention – the walnut oil richness wraps around those drying, residual tannins. It lands somewhere in maraschino cherry territory but stays savoury. Medium-long finish, very good. Perfect for cold weather, this is comfort dramming at its best. That big, clean, sherried style we all miss. No notes.

Oh aye, this one’s a proper cosy dram. 🥃 Nose is like sticking your head in a tin of Quality Street after they’ve been near a log fire—sticky toffe, dried fig, and a waft of bonfire smoke that’s more memory than punch. First sip brings a lovely weight, coat-your-tongue stuff. Dark chocolate digestives, overripe plums, and a wee lick of old leather armchair. Mid-palate, there’s a nutty prickle—walnut skin, maybe a crushed Brazil nut. Finish lingers like a stubborn house guest but in the best way. Peppery spice, a ghost of sea salt, then the sweet oaky warmth just sits there humming. Absolute stonker for a dreich day. ✨ (No water needed, but a splash opens up some orange marmalade too.) Crackin’ gear, that.

Well, first sip, it hits you with this deep, smoky vibe, like a distant bonfire. Quite peaty, innit? Then comes a bit of honey sweetness, smooth and golden. The oak notes linger, warming you right through. Finish is long, with a hint of spice – maybe cinnamon or nutmeg? 🥃😊 Mouthfeel's rich, almost creamy. Overall, a proper winter warmer, that.

Nose’s got this lovely snmoky, almost bacon-y thing? 🥓 Bit of heather honey too, I reckon. 👃 Palate’s proper chewy. Dark fruit, like plums, with a tingle of black pepper. 🫐 Gets a wee bit bitter near the end, in a good, coffee-ish way. ☕️ Finish is long and warming. That smokiness lingers nicely. A right good dram for a chilly evenin’. 👍 Overall, pretty solid. Easy to sip, flavours play nice together. Cheers! 🥃

Right, poured myself a dram earlier. 🥃 Nose hits you straight away... proper peaty, like smoke off a bonfire 🪵. But there's sweetness underneath, maybe honey? 🍯 Taste is warm, spreads out nicely. 🔥 Finish is long. Makes you wanna sit by the window and watch the rain. 🌧️ Definitly a comforting one. Proper lovely stuff.
