Right, this dram... 🥃 first sniff, honeyed oak and a right proper whack of orchard fruit. like baked apples, maybe a whiff of cinnamon. on the palate, blimey. chewy toffee, bit of dried apricot, then this lovely wodge of malt biscuit. there’s a spicy prickle too — clove, nudge of ginger. the texture's rich, coats the whole gob, proper lush. a splash of water wakes up a buttery vanilla note, some dark plum, and a faint nuttiness. tiny whisper of smoke in the back, like a campfire long gone cold. the finish is waaaarm, stays with yer ages. dried fruit, gentle spice, a bit of marzipan sweetness fading slowly. proper treat for a grey evening. 🌰🍂 top nosh, this. no pretence, just solid comforting malt.
