Amber in the glass, a bit wobbly at first, but honestly nicer on the palate than the nose 🙂 Marmalade, old wood, leather, walnuts, liquorice and loads of spice up front. There’s a menthol/camphor thing too, like dusty old herbal liqueur. Feels properly old — a tad tired, bit of cardboard and flat Guinness — but still beautiful, complex and very pleasant. Medium-long finish, spicy and woody, with a cosy old-cognac vibe.
