Ooft, that first nosing is all dark toffee and a right bonnie whack of dried fig. Lets it sit a beat, then the honey creeps in—thick heather honey, mind, not the runny stuff—and a ghost of orange peel. 🍯🍊 Palate’s proper silky, coats the whole gob. More of that burnt caramel, a smidge of clove, and summat nutty—like hazelnut skins. The oak is there but it’s less a plank and more a warm spice cupboard. Finish sits with you, gentle peat smoke and a wee salty tang, almost coastal. 🌊 Makes me think of a windswept bothy, fire still glowing. Dead comfy, no rough edges. Wouldn’t kick it out of bed, that’s for sure. 😮💨👌 Got a little typo in me tasting notes app, says "toffe" and I’m leavng it.
