Wow, that aroma hits you first, right? 🥃 Smoky, kinda like a bonfire in the distance, with a sweet, woody edge—definitely getting some honey and maybe a bit of vanilla? The taste is proper smooth, a bit of that peatiness but balanced with this lovely caramel note, maybe some dried fruit in there too. Finish lingers nicely, warm and slightly spicy, with a faint nuttiness. Quite nice, actually. 👍
The smoke isn't overwhelming, just enough to make it interesting. You get this malty, slightly earthy thing going on too. Easy to drink, but it's got layers. Sometimes I get a hint of green apple sharpness, but mostly it's all rich and rounded. A proper winter warmer, that's for sure. 🌰
Really like how the oak comes through on the tail end. Doesn't taste cheap or harsh at all. Just a solid, flavoursome dram. Might pair brilliantly with some dark chocolate. 🍫
Altogether, a right proper experience. Cheers! 🥂
