It's got that proper peaty kick, but then... a surprising sweetness comes through, kinda like dark honey. Maybe some stewed apple? So smooth on the tongue, though. Not harsh at all. There's a sweetness, like stewed fruits or maybe even a bit of toffee apple. A slight prickle of spice on the tongue, mind – quite warming but not harsh at all. Sits really well in the mouth, just coats it, like. And the finish! That's where it really shines. It's got this long, gentle warmth that just lingers. You can still taste that hint of sweetness, but now it's joined by somethin' a bit more woody, maybe a touch of vanilla. Really moreish. 👌 A real comfortin' dram, this is.
