Right then, let's have a wee sip… Nose is all sweet toffee and a gentle wisp of peat smoke, like a bonfire by the sea. Bit of dried fruit lurking too – sultanas maybe. On the palate it's proper rich. Waves of dark chocolate, spice (cinnamon, clove), then a lovely oily walnut note. The sherry cask influence is defo there, adding depth. Mouthfeel is syrupy, coats the whole gob. Finish is looong and warming, with lingering pepper and a salty tang. Really moreish. Slàinte 🥃
