Ahh this dram… 🥃 Straight off I’m gettin’ a big wave of honey’d vanilla, like proper Custard creams wi’ a drizzle of golden syrup. Then some stewed orchard fruits – think pears n’ aples poached soft. There’s a gentle oaky backbone, not at all shouty, more like an old writin’ desk than fresh sawn wood. Mid-palate a flutter of warm spice kicks in – cinnamon, maybe a whisper of nutmeg – wraps round yer tongue lovely. Finish lingers with dried apricots and a whisp of bonfire embers, very polite, not tryin’ to be Islay or anythin’. Sippin’ it neat shows a creamy malty biscuit note – digestives dunked in a cuppa. A splash of water wakes up somethin’ almost fudge-like, and the mouthfeel turns right silky. Honestly, could happily nurse this all evenin’ by the fire. No nonsense, just a comfy, gentle hug in a glass 🍯🔥
