Pouring a dram here...
First impression is smoky, like a dying campfire on a damp evening. There's a heavy hit of oak, really woody, and a surprising sweetness underneath - maybe some vanilla or caramel?
Then the spice kicks in! A bit of pepper, maybe some clove? It's warming, but not harsh. After a minute, I'm getting these rich, dark fruit notes... fig or raisin?
And there's this persistent, earthy peat flavour right through it all. Very complex. A bit like licking a barn floor (in a good way!). 🤔
The finish is long and dry, leaves you with that smoky-woody taste.
Not for beginners, this one. It's a proper ride. 🥃
